Supported Operating Systems
As a Microsoft Certified Partner, Planit
International operates fully in accordance with
Microsoft’s own policies concerning the support of
Microsoft operating systems.
The development that we have undertaken for Planit
Fusion Live has enabled the software to be awarded
Microsoft’s XP Logo compliancy certification. This
demonstrates our commitment to deliver quality
software.
The Microsoft XP Logo compliancy means that Planit
Fusion Live onwards, will only be supported on
certain operating systems.
In order to use Planit Fusion Live, you may find it
necessary to upgrade your operating systems prior to
installing Planit Fusion Live.
Unsupported Operating Systems
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Media Center 2003 Edition
Planit International does not support the use of
Planit Fusion Live on any of these operating
systems.
Partly Supported Operating Systems
Windows 98 SE, Windows NT, Windows ME
“Legacy support” is provided for these operating
systems for Planit Fusion only. “Legacy support”
means that the Planit software should still run on
these operating systems. However, should any issues
be identified that are directly attributable to the
operating system, Planit International will not
provide a solution (in accordance with Microsoft’s
own practice) and will advise users to upgrade to a
more contemporary operating system.
Planit International does not support the use of
Planit Fusion Live on either of these operating
systems.
Supported Operating Systems
Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Pro, Windows Media Center 2005 Edition, Windows 2003 Server
Planit International supports the use of all
versions of its software on these operating systems.
What does this mean in real terms?
In order to use Planit Fusion Live, you must be
using a supported operating system and may need to
install a supported operating system.
Planit Fusion Live will NOT run on any of the older operating systems.

Bit Support
Planit International Ltd would like to advise its
customers that we are currently not able to support
the Windows XP Edition or the
Windows 2003 Server Edition.
We are presently unable to support these Operating
Systems, as they require a compliant dongle
(Software Protection Device) driver. At this moment
in time Safenet (formally known as
Rainbow) are unable to provide us with this.
Supported Environments
However, following our own testing and research, we
can confirm that it is possible to run the Planit
suite (Version 14 – Fusion Live, onwards) on PCs
with the AMD Athlon™ 64
processor, using the standard Windows XP (Service
Pack 2) Operating System. You should all also be aware that, at this moment in
time, no corresponding research and testing has been
undertaken involving the use of the Planit suite on
an Intel 64bit based PC. Therefore it
is not currently possible to extend our support to
this environment. As and when this becomes possible,
a revised Product Bulletin will be released,
notifying you of the outcome.
Future Action
It is not known exactly when Safenet will be in a
position to provide a compliant dongle driver. We
are currently in the process of pursuing them in
order to get an indication of when this will be so.
Once Safenet have provided us with working drivers,
it is our intention to fully implement support for
the Windows Editions, quoted above.
However, it should be noted that the future support
of these Operating Systems will only be provided in
version 14 (Fusion Live) onwards. There are no plans
to provide support using older versions of the
Planit suite (i.e. Version 13 or older).
