Using Component Catalogues

Option 1

Choose the relevant range and style details from the component catalogue and enter a design using standard units such as “B50” etc.  This will give you a graphically accurate design with no pricing.

Option 2

Choose the relevant range and style details from the component catalogue and enter a design using standard units such as “B50”, use the Componentise feature to add non drawn doors and drawers based on the units in your design.  This will give you a graphically accurate design and quantity and prices for doors and drawers.

Option 3

Modify the component catalogue to include your carcase prices in the standard units.  Choose the relevant range and style details from the component catalogue and enter a design using standard units such as “B50”, use the Componentise feature to add non drawn doors and drawers based on the units in your design.  This will give you a graphically accurate design, quantity and prices for doors and drawers, and prices for your carcases.

Additional features available in Fusion Live

Planit Fusion Live includes the ability to design using drag and drop in the Elevation views.  This allows you to add carcase units to a view and then to drag and drop the doors and drawers on to the front of the carcases.

Saving Unit Groups

Units created from Carcase and Doors can be saved as group units for future use

It is possible to save groups of units into Planit, for use in future rooms.

To use this function, first call the relevant units into your plan.  First, position the Planning Cursor at the beginning of the Unit Group.  (This will be used as the entry position when adding the Saved Unit Group into your design).

Select the Group of Units you wish to save and click on "File, Save Unit Group".  In the next menu that appears you can enter a name and description to identify your unit group.

Using the “Componentise” feature

When you select the Componentise feature Planit looks at each unit in the design to see how many doors or drawers are part of each unit and at what size.  Planit then searches the catalogue for an equivalent Door or Drawer unit and adds the appropriate doors and drawers to the drawn units as priced components.

Add a unit or units to a design

Select “Auto Componentise” from the “Call” Menu

To remove component units or to recalculate components simply choose “Auto Componentise again”.

Modified Units

Modified Units are also compatible with AutoComponentise.

To modify a unit.

Select a single unit and within the Information palette select Drawing Parameters icon.

Change the Drawer Height Base Door Split

Planit will display a warning if AutoComponentise finds a door or drawer at a size that cannot be matched to a component unit.  In this case you have the option to change the size of the unit and re run AutoComponentise or to manually add the required components.
